Job Description:
The jobholder will have to perform the following activities:
A. Maintenance and Support
The main responsibility is to make our partner’s staff able to take over the maintenance of hardware/software and support operations of the BEAM9 system. These operations consist of:
- Support the Customer’s IT Administration team in daily monitoring and ensure contact with the Maintenance team in France for IT activities and suppliers for hardware replacement;
- Support the Customer’s Production team in day-to-day operations on GEOINT/IMINT activities, to take into account administration and ensure contact with the Engineering team in France;
- Support Training activities;
- Support all operations in KSA, like deployment, acceptance phases, or training;
- Contribute to continuous process improvement of the platform by supporting the deployment of software/hardware updates and upgrades.
B. Customers’ relationship
- Participate in all necessary meetings, conferences, or workshops with our customers to ensure the appropriate level of service;
- Contribute to reflecting customer’s expectations or requests;
- Support the activity in its evolving context (support operational teams, provide operational updates and requirements).
C. Communication and reporting
- Ensure regular reviews and updates on activities to the team and the program manager;
- Set up and maintain KPIs allowing the monitoring of the maintenance and support activities;
- Capitalize knowledge (documentation and procedure writing, good practices gathering…)
- Maintain good relationships with the different actors involved in the platform (customer, back-office, providers, and partner);
- Support deployment, lifetime operation, and performance management of all Maintenance Program deliverables;
Main requirements
- Must Have
- Education: Master’s degree in computer science
- Successful experience in maintenance and support programs;
- Communication skills to adapt to a wide variety of interlocutors in a multicultural environment
- Windows environment: Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), Distributed File System (DFS);
- Linux knowledge (CentOS)
- Virtualization VMware vSphere suite
- Additional skills
- IMINT/GEOINT trade core and geospatial software (I4D, SOCET GXP)
- IT: archiving, hardware (HP Blade System, server, Cisco), storage (HP 3PAR), Backup (NetBackup, Acronis), antivirus
- Working with basic network devices and concepts such as IP, DNS, firewall, and routing.
- Knowledge in Database is a plus (Postgres, MySQL)
- Knowledge in cloud technology is a plus (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability to learn and understand various, complex, and technical subjects
- Analytical skills to summarize and simplify complex topics
- Ability to steer several activities in parallel
