We are looking for an experienced Planner/Planning Engineer specializing in Fire Fighting and Fire Alarm Systems to develop, monitor, and manage project schedules, ensuring timely execution of all project activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with the project team to coordinate resources, forecast timelines, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for firefighting and fire alarm system inspections, installations and maintenance.
Define project milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to align activities with project objectives.
Communicate project timelines and updates to stakeholders regularly.
Track project progress against the baseline schedule and identify potential delays or risks.
Prepare and submit progress reports, including Earned Value Analysis (EVA), to project stakeholders.
Ensure optimal allocation of manpower, materials, and equipment for firefighting and fire alarm projects.
Monitor resource utilization and recommend adjustments as needed.
Ensure that all planned activities comply with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and client requirements.
Maintain accurate project records, including schedules, reports, and documentation.
Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
Update schedules and strategies based on project changes or unforeseen challenges.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Proven experience as a Planner or Planning Engineer in firefighting and fire alarm systems projects.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Strong understanding of NFPA standards, fire safety systems, and installation processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
