Early Career Trainee – Material Planning

The Early Career Traineeship is designed for fresh graduates where Baker Hughes will train fresh talent who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a specific business. The traineeship duration is 12 months in Dammam IET Plant and will develop your technical knowledge and soft skills and provide on-the-job learning and exposure.

As part of our Early Career Traineeship, you will be involved in:

  • Participating in a formal leadership training program that serves as a talent pipeline.
  • Working in close cooperation in both directions of the value chain with different functions.
  • Supporting in building a production plan, setting up resource targets and requirements, monitoring progress, and ensuring alignment.
  • Having exposure to ERP systems and assisting requesters with process compliance and system understanding.
  • Conducting in-depth investigations to analyze data and identify issues with root causes to derive corrections.
  • Building Material Requirements Plan utilizing different planning software and techniques.
  • Coordinating with other functions regarding production targets, progress, delivery, and materials flow.
  • Ensuring adequate supply of materials to meet production demands.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
  • Contributing to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
  • Managing inventory shortages, schedule changes, and design changes.
  • Analyzing processes, detecting risks, and ensuring adequate actions are in place to mitigate proactively.
  • Managing ERP transactions for materials, work orders, and sales orders.
  • Learning and adhering to workplace safety and compliance regulations.
  • Enforcing a quality mindset and ensuring all quality requirements are met to start production.

To be successful in this traineeship you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, graduated within the last 24 months.
  • Have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English and have effective communication skills.
  • Be inquisitive and present a thirst for knowledge.
  • Be legally entitled to work within the country in which you are applying, without sponsorship or time restrictions.
  • Have knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Have a basic understanding of ERP systems - preferably within work orders and inventory.
  • Be competent in different production planning styles.
  • Have basic knowledge of MS Project.
  • Be proficient at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Possess an operations excellence and process improvement mindset.
  • Be an exceptional team player and easily adaptable.
  • Have strong investigation and analysis skills.
  • Have advanced proficiency in the Microsoft 360 suite including Teams.
  • Have basic knowledge in logistics and incoterms.
