Job description

Position Objectives:

  • Oversee and optimize the procurement process.
  • Ensure efficient sourcing of materials, goods, and services.
  • Achieve the best possible cost, quality, and compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Focus on supplier management, cost control, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute winning procurement strategies.
  • Conduct market research and analyze supplier capabilities.
  • Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to gather information from prospective vendors.
  • Build and maintain a robust supplier database.
  • Lead contract negotiations and secure favourable terms.
  • Draft, review, and execute contracts under legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage contract performance and address contractual disputes.
  • Maintain meticulous contract records.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong supplier relationships.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze procurement expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Proactively implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Track and report on cost savings achieved.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate procurement-related risks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine procurement processes.
  • Leverage procurement technologies to streamline operations.
  • Develop and maintain clear procurement policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law, or a related field. (Master's degree and/or professional certifications such as CPSM, CPP, or C.P.M. are a plus.)
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of success in supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of procurement principles, practices, and the legal framework.
  • Expertise in contract law, procurement regulations, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite,
  • Strong emphasis on advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation, macros, etc.).
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is a strong plus.
