Forklift Operator

The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform fill orders and check the accuracy of other orders. Operators will be responsible for ensuring the working order of their forklifts prior to use.

Forklift operators can be promoted to warehouse supervisors, and they can also be trained on larger, more complex machines used in the shipping industry, like cranes. To be successful, forklift operators must have strong spatial awareness, a dedication to workplace safety, and the ability to organize and sort with detail.

Job Specification

Must be experienced in heavy forklifts such as 15-20 ton. Strong communication and technical skills are highly valuable. Workplace safety training and a forklift operation certificate are required.
