Position Summary

Workshop Manager manages LIN SCAN Tools Fleet in specific region, assesses tool conditions after runs, and controls all spare parts for any tools in the territory.

  8. Follow LIN SCAN’s Process Flow Charts and interact with other departments when required.
  9. Identify training requirements.

Job Functions, Responsibilities

  1. Sets up the workshop and implements a system that will allow for both physical and system stock control, asset movement monitoring, and organized procurement.
  2. Organizes all equipment (storage, labelling, systematization).
  3. Constantly reviews operation plan and tools/spares requirements for Russia/CIS projects (with Tool Manager Head of Department, Tool Manager Representative and Project Managers).
  4. Assures that minimum stock requirements per quarter are set and orders placed in time for required tools and spares.
  5. Is fully responsible for organization of local supply chain: agreeing with Tool Manager and Quality Manager which spares can be locally produced/ordered; selecting reputable local suppliers with favorable payment terms and needed quality.
  6. Is fully responsible for logistics: selecting reputable and efficient custom clearance agents for international shipments; agreeing clear payment terms; assuring on time movement of equipment within Rus/CIS.
  7. Assures workshop HSE requirements are met.
  8. Assures administrative work on workshop rent, utilities management, part time hiring of lifting equipment, vehicles, manpower support.
  9. Controls and fulfills workshop budget maintenance.
  10. Assures that any tools/spares going from or incoming to the workshop passed quality tests and maintenance of Quality records.
  11. Has authority to take disciplinary actions on parties not following the process, especially when having an impact on asset value, tool quality, safety, and reporting.
  12. Is fully responsible for reporting once per week against quarterly Admin Workshop Plan and Tool/Spares movement plan.
  13. Monitors and controls tools fleet in the whole territory.
  14. Participates in intra- and inter-departmental meetings.
  15. Controls tool movement to any project, ensures TM approval of tool movement prior to tool mobilization.
  16. Assesses tool condition after run either directly by examining the tool or indirectly based on tool condition report received from Operations; submits tool condition reports to HO, requests spare parts if and as required.
  17. Advises TM on required tools, equipment and documentation improvement.
  18. Ensures efficient utilization of tools & equipment.
  19. Ensures optimum tools & equipment condition by conducting regular maintenance activities.
  20. Controls spare parts and maintains minimum stock quantity in the territory store.
  21. Ensures tools and spare parts are stored in proper condition and in suitable environment.
  22. Ensures Operations supplies all runs reports to TM.
  23. Prepares list of tools and spares required for operation.
  24. Renders assistance to sales enquiries.
  25. Ensures any tool going back to UAE is assembled on tray; secures the tool movement inside the box.
  26. Ensures ILI/cleaning Tools are stored and kept ready in a proper manner.

Skills

Knowledge, Skills

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology, OR related degree.
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a tool and production related role, ideally in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  3. Advance GMP training and implementation skills.
  4. Strong command of English AND ARABIC in addition to communication skills.
  5. Must be flexible with work hours & timings.

KPIs:

  1. Budget adherence.
  2. No. of rejected outgoing tools/spares (not higher than 3%).
  3. No of rejected incoming spares/tools (not higher than 3%).
  4. 0 Human/environmental accidents in workshop.
  5. Accomplishment of tasks in time.

KPI monitoring frequency: once Monthly.
