How You’ll Make an Impact
Main responsibility is to ensure effective execution of regional major projects with end-to-end responsibilities for materials from suppliers.
Procurement:
- Send and evaluate RfQs.
- Selection, negotiation and contracting of suppliers. Process purchase order and get acknowledgement.
- Drive supplier qualification. Ensure correctness of Supplier/material master data required for ordering.
- Support claim management activities.
- Material Expertise (e.g., Motors, Switchgears)
- Define and implement commodity strategies.
- Define and implement risk management activities.
- Negotiation of frame contracts.
- Drive supplier evaluation and development.
- Support supplier quality management activities.
Logistics:
- Monitor fulfillment of delivery dates. Drive expediting in case delivery dates are at risk, including reporting to Head of Procurement.
- Schedule pick-up and delivery with Forwarders and carrier partners.
- Interact directly with various approved carriers to schedule pick-ups, transmit documents, and communicate specific transport requirements.
- Communicate verbally and in writing directly with internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with Factory & other suppliers for shipments based on the project deadline.
- Actively participate as a vital team member for the shipping and materials departments.
- Prepare logistics budget for ongoing tender.
- Issue PO for logistics related service from SAP.
- Create reports as required by site/PM & CPM.
- Provide Proofs of Delivery to internal and external customers as requested.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Maintain shipment log of import & export shipments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably in Electrical/Automation engineering) is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management.
- Preferred to have notable execution experience with suppliers from Electrical & Automation commodities (e.g., Transformers, Motors, Switchgears).
- Preferred to have notable execution experience with suppliers from this industry, both local & international.
- Excellent communication skills as the position requires you to interact closely between suppliers & internal stakeholders (Sales, Project Execution, Commercial, Cross-functional units), to ensure scope & requirements are adequately fulfilled within timeline.
- Proficient in SAP/MS Office tools & applications for reporting purposes.
- Willing to travel nationally and internationally.
