Sales Engineer

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the national warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring efficient storage, distribution, and transportation of goods. The National Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for optimizing supply chain processes, reducing costs, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring timely delivery while complying with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Develop and implement national warehouse strategies to optimize storage capacity and inventory accuracy.
2. Ensure efficient warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
3. Maintain accurate inventory records and implement inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
4. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency and tracking.
5. Oversee national transportation and distribution networks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
6. Optimize logistics routes, transportation methods, and vendor partnerships to reduce costs and improve service levels.
7. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure contract compliance and performance.
8. Monitor and analyze key logistics KPIs, including delivery accuracy, transit time, and freight costs.
9. Develop and manage the warehouse and logistics budget, ensuring cost control and operational efficiency.
10. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.
11. Implement best practices in warehousing, logistics, and supply chain management.
12. Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to warehousing, transportation, and logistics.
13. Enforce safety and security standards across all warehouse and logistics operations.
14. Develop risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain disruptions and warehouse-related hazards.
15. Lead and mentor warehouse, logistics, and distribution teams across multiple locations.
16. Provide training programs to enhance staff skills and promote continuous improvement.
17. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and high performance.
18. Prepare and present reports on warehouse and logistics performance, including cost analysis, inventory turnover, and delivery performance.
19. Conduct regular audits of warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
20. Use data-driven insights to enhance decision-making and operational planning.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree (MBA) is preferred.

Experience:

1. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management.
2. At least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role managing national warehouse and distribution operations.
