HSE Engineer - Building Automation

As an HSE Engineer here at Honeywell Building Automation, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within the organization. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the well-being of employees, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting sustainability for Building Automation. You will report directly to the Modon facility Plant Leader, and matrix to the Regional HSE Leader – BA META, and you will work out of our Modon, Saudi Arabia location on a full time basis.

In this role, you will impact our organization by developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs that ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practice.

Your expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance will enable us to mitigate potential hazards and maintain a safe working environment. Your contributions will not only protect our people and assets but also enhance our reputation as a responsible and sustainable organization in the building automation industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations
2. Management and continual improvement of HSE programs including Management system & operational control procedures as per Honeywell HSEMS Requirements.
3. Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to everyone
4. Drive excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training
5. Deploy and manage HSE initiatives to continually improve performance of assigned programs and processes
6. Develop and implement safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and company requirements
7. Oversight and project management of HSE projects as needed
8. Perform site compliance reviews and safety auditing as needed
9. Drive the BCM and Sustainability compliances applicable to HSE.
10. Ensure 100% compliances for all HSE legal & other requirements.
11. Lead & support and participate in all HSE internal & external audits.
12. Develop a training tracker to actively monitor training requirements and compliance
13. Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training and education on HSE matters.
14. Keep updated on all regulatory changes and report out on emerging issues

YOU MUST HAVE

1. Bachelor’s degree in science/ engineering or equivalent
2. Two to Five years of hands-on experience in managing HSE at Factory / ISC level.
3. A HSE qualification from authorized government institute to act as a safety officer as per state or country legislation requirements.
4. OSHA or NEBOSH certification desirable
5. ISO 45001 & 14001 Lead auditor certification desirable

4. ISO 45001, 14001 Certification experience
5. ISO 50001 — Energy management experience will be added advantage.

7. Innovative thinking to create continuous improvement
8. Good working knowledge of computer skills
9. Experience with Sustainability projects & scoping
10. Experience with Business continuity Planning & on site management.
