We are seeking a highly proficient and experienced BIM Designer to become a part of the BIM and Digital delivery team within a telecommunications firm engaged in major projects in Saudi Arabia. The preferred candidate should possess a robust background in BIM methodologies, including 3D, 4D, and 5D, along with expertise in Revit and Navisworks, as well as experience in BIM Collaboration. In the role of BIM Designer, the candidate will be instrumental in our design and collaboration efforts, guaranteeing the effective application and oversight of BIM standards and practices.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage BIM Design protocols and optimal practices.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of the BIM Execution Plan throughout the project design lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with BIM standards and customer requirements.
Supervise the design process to ensure adherence to customer specifications by utilizing BIM methodologies and protocols.
Take responsibility and accountability for all Design and Modeling activities, including the implementation and management of changes.
Assist the assigned Designers and Modelers with various coordination and approval processes across multiple disciplines.
Participate in modeling at various levels of detail (LOD) and oversee the coordination of models that include Architectural, Structural, Electrical, MEP, HVAC, and Telecommunication elements.
Perform audits of the multidisciplinary design coordination processes used by both the design consultant and the contractor.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate BIM Design processes into the project workflow.
Facilitate coordination meetings to enhance effective communication among all project participants.
Manage clash detection and resolution processes using Navisworks.
Review and approve the deliverables from the design consultant and contractor.
Support the automation of the Digital site management and controlling by using BIM and CDE.
Integrate Virtual reality and Virtual models for all project disciplines and facilities.
Create, modify, and review designs and construction documents using Revit.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of BIM models and associated documentation.
Develop and maintain project templates, families, and libraries in Revit.
Oversee the Quality Control process and the procedure for reporting on the design modeling of both individual and federated models.
Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
Provide guidance and support to project teams on BIM Design-related issues.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures for BIM processes.
Implement and manage the ACC CDE to enhance project collaboration and coordination.
Ensure seamless integration of ACC with other project stakeholders.
Manage project data and ensure proper documentation and version control.
Qualifications & Experience:
A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a similar discipline is required.
A minimum of five years of experience in managing BIM design is essential.
Proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360 (ACC) is necessary.
Solid understanding of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices is expected.
Experience in integrating virtual reality and GIS metadata is preferred.
Familiarity with clash detection and resolution methodologies is required.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team is important.
Keen attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality are crucial.
Proficiency in various BIM tools and software, including ArcGIS Pro, Anscape, Synchro, and Solibri is preferred.
