Implement the objectives, plans, policies, and procedures of the Tendering & Estimation function, ensuring they guide all operations.
Monitor the Tendering & Estimation function's performance, compare results to established goals, and report to the Electrical Maintenance Manager.
Ensure compliance with CEPCO’s policies and regulations to avoid discrepancies or unsatisfactory results.
Supervise and coordinate tendering and estimation activities for the multi-functional bidding team, including Electrical Office, HV Civil Work, Testing & Commissioning teams, etc.
Verify the accuracy of drawings in RFPs received from customers by coordinating with the Senior Engineer (Design & Engineering function).
Review material quantities to ensure they are correct and sufficient for CEPCO projects.
Conduct internal estimation activities for CEPCO’s Mega HV projects in the area of Installations.
Perform external sales/tendering and estimation activities in response to general contractors' or other clients' tender/sales orders/inquiries.
Prepare relevant Bill of Quantity (BoQ) as part of CEPCO’s HV Mega projects tendering and estimation process.
Prepare sales quotations, offers, orders, and contracts, considering equipment cost, labor cost, overhead cost, and profit margin.
Extract quantities from drawings, sketches, and specifications listed in the RFP/Tender documents for BoQ preparation and pricing (if needed).
Coordinate with the Procurement function to obtain material quotations and updated cost information to develop precise project cost estimates.
Discuss technical specifications and approaches with suppliers and subcontractors as necessary.
Complete BoQs based on material cost estimates, labor costs, overhead costs, and profit margins.
Address customer clarifications and support tender negotiations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Primavera.
Fluency in both English and Arabic.
