Production Operator

The primary duty of the Plant Operators is to operate the sophisticated plant equipment safely, making quality products.

Responsibilities

1. Operate the sophisticated plastic production lines of the plant which include twin screw extruders, material handling and feeding systems, water circulation systems, etc.
2. Use computer systems to monitor and control the operation of the lines.
3. Prepare raw material batches and feed the production lines (lifting 25 Kg on packaging).
4. Learn and apply the proper safety rules and procedures to assure a safe working environment.
5. Initial troubleshooting of the problems during production and directly solve the simpler ones.
6. Monitor, measure, and check the quality specifications for the final product. Perform quality tests as needed.
7. Help in maintenance activities as guided.
8. Production line cleaning (Housekeeping).

Skills

1. Technical degree (diploma) in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering, TEI level.
2. 0-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a process industry.
3. Experience in plastics production using twin screw extruders and knowledge of material handling systems will be appreciated.
4. Experience in setting up, starting up, and operating sophisticated equipment.
5. Experience in troubleshooting and solving simple operating problems.
6. Good computer skills as all processes are computerized.
7. Knowledge of controls (PLCs, DCS, Ladder logic, control languages) will be appreciated.
8. Experience with ISO 9001 systems and compliance preferred.
9. Experience in Forklift (Preferable).
