They are looking for experienced Deterministic Safety Analysis Experts to provide technical expertise in the assessment of nuclear safety, with a focus on deterministic safety analysis.

The Deterministic Safety Analysis Expert's role involves reviewing safety documentation, supporting licensing processes, and delivering on-the-job training to staff.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Accountabilities

1. Conduct deterministic safety analysis of plant states, including anticipated operational occurrences and accidents.
2. Review and assess safety documentation, particularly chapters related to deterministic safety analysis.
3. Develop training materials and deliver on-the-job training programs for staff.
4. Support the development and implementation of nuclear safety regulatory frameworks in compliance with international standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are looking for:

1. Advanced degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
2. 10+ years of experience in nuclear science/engineering within a nuclear safety context.
3. Familiarity with deterministic safety analysis methodologies and associated software verification and validation.
4. Knowledge of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) standards, including Specific Safety Requirements SSR-2/1 (Rev.1) for the Design of Nuclear Power Plants and Safety Guide SSG-2 (Rev.1) for Deterministic Safety Analysis.
5. Proven experience in reviewing safety analysis reports and regulatory frameworks.
6. Expertise in the licensing processes for nuclear power plants.
7. Experience working with countries starting nuclear power programs.
8. Strong project management skills and ability to handle complex technical projects.
9. Fluency in English (written and spoken).
