Job description

The Document Controller plays a vital role in the Real Estate and Construction industry, ensuring that all project documentation is organized, accessible, and compliant with industry standards. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of project documentation, facilitating communication among team members, and ensuring that all stakeholders have access to the latest information. The Document Controller will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure that all documentation is processed efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and reports.
  2. Ensure that all documents are properly filed, indexed, and archived for easy retrieval.
  3. Implement and enforce document control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  4. Coordinate with project teams to gather and distribute necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  5. Monitor document revisions and updates, ensuring that all team members are informed of changes.
  6. Assist in the preparation of project reports and presentations by providing accurate documentation.
  7. Train and support team members on document control processes and software.
  8. Conduct regular audits of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  9. Maintain a comprehensive database of all project documents for easy access and reporting.
  10. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as clients and subcontractors, to ensure proper documentation flow.

  1. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  3. Proficient in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
