General Manager needed for an exciting Events start-up based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Salary: Depending on experience + bonus

Role Overview

As the General Manager, you will take full ownership of the company's operations, business growth, and team development. Your goal will be to expand the company's footprint within the events industry, forge key partnerships, and ensure operational excellence. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone eager to grow with the company and make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to grow the company's presence in the events industry.
2. Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of service delivery.
3. Team Development: Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
4. Business Development: Cultivate long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including event companies and ministries (e.g., Ministry of Culture), to secure repetitive contracts and partnerships.
5. Event Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of the events industry to deliver innovative and successful projects.
6. Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze market trends and performance data to identify growth opportunities and optimize processes.
7. Travel Coordination: Regularly travel to Riyadh and other locations as required to manage events and strengthen relationships.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:

1. Proven track record in the events industry in KSA, with existing contacts in event companies.
2. Previous roles at Manager, Head, or Director level, Operations Manager, seeking a step up to General Manager.
3. Connections with Saudi ministries (e.g., Ministry of Culture) are a strong advantage.
