Metadata Content Writer

Responsibilities:

1. Manage content metadata for all assets on MBC linear platforms
2. Create, translate and transliterate content metadata
3. Verify supplier content against media assets
4. Check editorial and technical accuracy of broadcast schedules within given timelines
5. Ensure metadata requirements for linear platforms are met before broadcast dates
6. Support last-minute changes on linear platforms, ensuring accurate information at all times
7. Provide metadata reports to line manager
8. Passion for drama, movies, and entertainment desired
9. Excellent in English and Arabic synopsis translations
10. Meticulous, with specific attention to detail for quality assurance
11. Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
12. Result-oriented and self-motivated team player

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s in Mass Communication
2. Fluent in English and Arabic
3. Minimum of 1 year’s experience in content writing preferred
4. Experience in the media and entertainment industry relating to one or more of the following areas - metadata management, digital video and audio, asset management systems, multimedia formats
