Job description
  • Adherence to the responsibilities outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws.
  • Providing and promoting a high standard of quality ophthalmology care.
  • Operating in the OR within approved privileges.
  • Being present in the working vicinity during normal working hours.
  • Being available for contact at any time while in town.
  • Working under the supervision of a consultant and the Section Head, Division of Ophthalmology.
  • Handling certain aspects of primary care responsibilities within approved privileges, defined and supervised by the immediate consultant and approved by the Section Head, Division of Ophthalmology.
  • Carrying out assigned specific duties within the Division of Ophthalmology with restricted responsibilities as requested by the immediate senior and approved by the Section Head, Division of Ophthalmology.
  • No admission privileges.
  • Participating in training and education of junior staff.
  • Attending and participating in all ophthalmology division academic activities and research.
  • Attending and participating in all division meetings.
  • Attending and participating in the Department of Surgery staff meetings.
  • Actively involved and participating in the ongoing quality management program.
  • Maintaining the spirit of teamwork in the Division of Ophthalmology.
  • During on-call, seeing all admissions and discharges in the ER.
  • Meeting the CME requirements of Saudi specialization.
  • Obtaining approval of proper TRA by the Chairman before going on leave.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Education:

Saudi Specialty Certification or equivalent in Ophthalmology (Essential).
