Job description

Job Purpose
The role holder is responsible for managing stc's Public Relations through effective plans and directions from management of Corporate Communication. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

  1. Plan, design and execute the stc Group Communication strategy and framework.
  2. Manage the content development of media & communication plan and management of Public/Press relations (locally and internationally) for all stc Group.
  3. Plan, design and execute Group Corporate Communication initiatives requiring media coverage.
  4. Plan, design and execute all related media activities and address concerns in case of negative press coverage.
  5. Manage the crisis response plan and ensure employees are trained for crisis management.
  6. Review articles, press releases, executive speeches, international message content and influence the impact of local international communications.
  7. Develop, implement and execute communication plan for stc (objectives, initiatives, etc.), and manage relations with stakeholders and media relations.
  8. Manage external stakeholder management including media, senior government dignitaries visiting stc offices, international organizations and exhibition organizers, among others.
  9. Manage internal stakeholder management including employees, investors, senior management and counterparts in other Business Units.
  10. Act as the custodian of all external and internal communications, overseeing the validity, clarity, and transparency while ensuring they fall in line with stc strategic objectives.
  11. Plan, design and execute protocols for PR visitors to stc, ensuring that VIP visitors are well guided, and that visitor information/complaints are properly documented.
  12. Manage the Media content databases including news articles, TV interviews and appearances, social media posts, Media photos and any other related documents.

Years Of Experience
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Nature Of Experience
Prior experience in public and media relations, preferably with a large organization in the telecommunications industry.
