Senior Project Lead Engineer

Senior Project Lead Engineer HVDC is now looking for a seasoned Project Lead Engineer who is ready to take on the overall technical responsibility in HVDC projects and tenders. In this role, you will utilize your technical expertise and take the lead on projects and tenders where you will have the responsibility to coordinate global project teams. The activities associated with this role include, but are not limited to, engineering and design, planning, and risk assessments. You will act as a technical liaison and primary point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders.

As a Senior Project Lead Engineer, you will work independently while collaborating with others, and you will have great autonomy in managing all your projects and processes. Therefore, we are searching for you who have extensive experience as a Lead Engineer, or similar role, and thrive in a role where your project team puts their trust in you to be the technical expert for complex queries.

Your responsibilities:

1. Primary contact for communication of technical matters with the customer.
2. Ensure that engineering is developed with complete information and/or that all multidisciplinary information has been included.
3. Lead development of new solutions for complex projects and challenges.
4. Drive completion of all engineering activities on the project.
5. Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
6. Prepare project documents in your area of responsibility and deliver within budget, scope, and contract.
7. Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
8. Ensure technical quality in contracts, other documents, and delivery.

Your background:

1. You have an academic degree in Electrical Engineering or another similar area.
2. 10+ years of experience in technical lead roles within the power system industry is a requirement.
3. Experience working with HVDC technology is highly advantageous.
4. As a person, you are communicative, collaborative, and not afraid to take on difficult conversations.
5. Ability to take a leading role and deliver quality results.
6. Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing, is required. Other languages are a great advantage.
