Chief Engineer - Na`jan - Rotana

We are seeking passionate and dynamic Engineering professionals who deliver exceptional customer service and provide creative solutions.

As Chief Engineer/Director of Engineering, you will oversee the repairs and maintenance operation of physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel. Responsibilities include:

• Organizing preventive maintenance programs for electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Advising the General Manager and Corporate Vice President on problems at all times.
• Supervising maintenance employees and contract employees carrying out minor building work, electrical, and mechanical installations.
• Liaising with contractors, writing specifications, and inspecting works upon completion.
• Overseeing life safety systems throughout the hotel and reporting major defects.
• Maintaining administration files, including drawing prints, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Recommending energy conservation programs and investigating wastage.

Requirements

You should have a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering with three years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. A good command of written and spoken English is essential.

The ideal candidate can handle stress, work under pressure, and possesses strong administrative skills, an analytical mind, and the ability to write concise reports.
