Job Description:

Key Accountabilities:

1. Ensure accurate survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
2. Ensure accuracy in executing new panel layouts.
3. Carry out underground surveys (gather and analyze underground information).
4. Perform survey calculations.
5. Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
6. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
7. Ensure 100% effective management of water; survey bodies of water to determine navigable channels and to secure data for the construction of structures.
8. Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.
9. Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, and other characteristics of terrain.
10. Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.
11. Comply with all applicable legal requirements.
12. Train assistants and helpers, and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys.
13. Record the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features.
14. Determine longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas, using theodolites, transits, levels, and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS).
15. Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
16. Analyze survey objectives and specifications to prepare survey proposals.
17. Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
18. Adhere to criteria for survey methods and procedures.
19. Strict adherence to HSEQR regulations, processes, and procedures.
20. 3D modeling (with guidance).
21. Ensure compliance with product requirements.
