Project Implementation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Implementation Engineer to oversee and execute CAPEX projects within heavy industrial plants. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in managing projects from the RFQ stage to final handover. The candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling site inspections, contractor coordination, and technical queries.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution & Coordination:
2. Lead the execution of CAPEX projects in heavy industrial plants, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and as per specifications.
3. Follow up and coordinate all project activities from RFQ preparation to final handover.
4. Execute multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring smooth coordination across different engineering fields.
5. Carry out site inspections to monitor work progress and compliance with project specifications.
6. Work closely with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams to ensure project alignment with plant requirements.
7. Contractor & Vendor Management:
8. Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotations) and evaluate technical proposals from contractors/vendors.
9. Respond to technical queries raised by contractors/vendors related to project execution.
10. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met.
11. Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of contractor/vendor proposals.
12. Ensure contractors comply with safety regulations and project quality requirements.
13. Inspections & Quality Assurance:
14. Perform basic inspections across all disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) to ensure adherence to design and specifications.
15. Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship meet project requirements before acceptance.
16. Conduct on-site evaluations and prepare quality reports.
17. Project Monitoring & Reporting:
18. Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
19. Monitor and report project status updates, identifying any risks or delays.
20. Ensure all project documentation is up to date, including technical reports, inspection records, and progress updates.
21. Track project KPIs and provide regular updates to management on project execution status.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).

Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in handling CAPEX projects in heavy industrial plants.

Technical Expertise:

1. Strong knowledge of project execution methodologies in industrial environments.
2. Experience in handling contractors, vendors, and procurement processes.
3. Ability to handle basic inspections across multiple disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Instrumentation, and Structural works).
4. Project Management Skills:
5. Hands-on experience in project scheduling, execution, and reporting.
6. Ability to coordinate with O&M teams for plant-related projects.
7. Strong experience in preparing RFQs and reviewing technical proposals.
8. Soft Skills:
9. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
10. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
11. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
12. Software Proficiency:
13. Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
14. Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
