Job Description:
- Conduct thorough cost analysis for MEP systems, ensuring accuracy in estimates and adherence to project budgets.
- Prepare and maintain detailed bills of quantities (BoQ) for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to assess project specifications and provide cost-effective solutions.
- Monitor project progress and expenditures, reporting discrepancies and recommending corrective actions to maintain budget integrity.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring value for money and compliance with Saudi regulations.
- Conduct site visits to verify quantities and quality of work, ensuring alignment with project standards.
- Assist in preparing tender documentation and evaluate bids from contractors to select the most suitable candidates.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project managers, to resolve issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain cost control procedures to track and manage project financials effectively.
- Stay updated with local market trends and pricing to provide accurate forecasts and recommendations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying, specifically within the Saudi construction sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on MEP systems.
- Professional certifications such as MRICS or PQS are highly preferred to demonstrate expertise.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects in the Middle East, with a strong understanding of local regulations.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and CostX.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage contracts and relationships effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
