Manage the development and implementation of Department policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures.
Constantly analyze the effectiveness of applicable Civil Aviation Regulations and Standards to ensure that THC operates at an optimum performance within regulatory constraints and where identified make recommendations for changes when deemed necessary.
Provide guidance/recommendations to concerned Departments with regards to proposed changes to the regulatory requirements.
Liaise with appropriate regulatory authorities to provide interpretation and guidance on current and proposed regulations/standards.
Develop, maintain and control the department quality manual including processes, policies, procedures and work instructions.
Review the Quality Management System at appropriate intervals to ensure its continuous suitability and effectiveness.
Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate departmental reports which conform to Organizational and department requirements, policies and standards.
Ensure compliance to all relevant Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental procedures in THC in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
Support the execution of the overall strategic vision.
Carry out their duties in a resource efficient way and actively support THC's Environmental Policy.
Leadership:
Monitor staff achievements, perform periodic performance appraisals, and provide guidance, coaching or training to direct subordinates in performing their delegated duties.
Optimize the use of personal and team time/effort in carrying out assigned duties, to ensure work meets agreed standards for timeliness and quality.
Ensure continuous monitoring of trends in the market and provide advice to management on potential initiatives.
Support the execution of the overall strategic vision.
Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to work and information.
Perform any other duties assigned to him/her related to the nature of the work.
