Provide the highest standards of radiation therapy treatment.
Participates in the management of the physical and manpower resources of the department to maximum efficiency and effectiveness. On duty rota as directed by Head of the Department.
Participate in the teaching of Junior staff and technical staff in the department and other teaching activities arranged by the department.
Participate in the planning of further development in the department.
Oversees regular medical audits within his/her care and organizes prospective studies of medical topics of current importance in the department based on these audits.
Deputizes for the Head of the Department during leave periods if required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of colleagues.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Potential to improve his/her clinical expertise as well as the standard of practice with regards to morbidity and cost-effectiveness.
Supports the quality assurance activities of the team and actively contributes to identifying needed improvements in current service provision and strategies for introducing these.
Participates in the Environmental Safety Awareness, i.e., CPR, Fire and Safety, Infection Control, and major disaster plan of the center as indicated.
Ensures continuous quality improvement and patient safety with full compliance to Joint Commission International (JCI) Accreditation Standards and Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI).
Skills:
Saudi Board or equivalent with more than five (2) years of clinical experience.
Competence achieved in the use of radiation therapy in the management of solid and hematological malignancies, with broad-based experience in anticipating and managing complications of cancers and radiation therapy.
Diverse clinical experience in treating patients with curative or palliative intents, whole skin, and hemi-body irradiation, etc.
