Job Description:

MAPA Group is seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to manage procurement operations at our construction sites across Saudi Arabia. This role requires site-based procurement expertise, supplier management, and contract negotiations to ensure seamless material supply for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

Procurement Strategy & Execution:

• Develop and implement site-specific procurement strategies to optimize material and equipment availability.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, supplier selection, purchase order execution, and contract management.
• Ensure timely procurement to prevent project delays and align with site demands.

Supplier & Contract Management:

• Lead negotiations with local and international suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and lead times.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual agreements.
• Identify and resolve on-site procurement challenges such as delays, material shortages, and quality discrepancies.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Planning, Warehouse, and Quality teams to ensure procurement aligns with site requirements.
• Liaise with the Finance team to manage procurement budgets, invoicing, and cost tracking.

Risk Management & Compliance:

• Identify potential supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
• Ensure compliance with local and international procurement regulations and company policies.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track and analyze supplier performance and procurement KPIs to optimize sourcing strategies.
• Maintain proper documentation for transparency, audit compliance, and reporting purposes.

Site-Based Procurement Leadership:

• Lead and mentor on-site procurement teams, fostering efficiency and best practices.
• Provide real-time support and problem-solving to address urgent procurement issues affecting site operations.

Skills

Job Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience in construction, infrastructure, or EPC projects.
• Hands-on experience with supplier negotiations, contracts, and vendor management.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services procurement.
• Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems for procurement processes.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments and solve time-sensitive procurement challenges.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to engage with multi-disciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC construction markets.
• Mega project procurement experience.
• Knowledge of logistics and customs regulations for international sourcing.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
