Job Description
Position Summary
Supervise, manage, operate and perform preventative maintenance operational planning and implementation on Casing and Tubular Running Equipment. Safely operate casing/tubing tongs, as mentioned on Basic Function Service Technician IV. Teach skills and monitor the overall job situation and safety aspects. Safely operate casing/tubing tongs, power units, tubular handling and cleaning equipment, Torque Turn services and equipment, bottom hole assembly make-up; historic and other specialized oilfield equipment used in tubular make-up and testing services.
Essential Functions
- Maintain contact with Base Manager while on Stand By.
- Perform TRS Field Services as per requirements.
- Demonstrate and provide leadership in safe behavior.
- Participate in safety programs and systems, embracing discipline, willingness to listen and learn.
- Provide high-level well site supervision and standards.
- Attend daily safety and morning meetings at designated bases.
- Conduct competency assessments.
- Be responsible for crews and jobs offshore and onshore.
- Act as point of contact with Company Representative.
- Ensure safe working practices on site and full knowledge of the Company HSE Manual and procedures.
- Complete all necessary job and equipment paperwork in line with Company procedures.
- Train junior technicians and assess their progress.
- Monitor performance of technicians and undertake performance appraisal reports.
- Safely and satisfactorily perform casing/tubing tong assignments.
- Know the operation and routine maintenance requirements of all tubular handling and cleaning equipment.
- Prepare accurate delivery tickets, job reports, time sheets, and other administrative forms.
- Review and dispatch equipment according to checklist procedures.
- Independently operate and troubleshoot all tubular handling and cleaning equipment.
- Assist maintenance supervisor with special maintenance assignments and perform pipe yard duties as necessary.
- Act as trainer for Service Technicians 1, 2, 3 & 4.
- Report any accident, incident, or near miss incidents in accordance with the company’s HSE Program Manual.
- Attend monthly HSE meetings and initiate changes to existing HSE procedures or initiate new procedures.
- Perform other assignments as directed by the base manager.
- Responsible for QHSSE and EEP operations for relevant functions.
- Accountable for safe operation of Parker Wellbore and Customer Equipment in area of operations.
- Assist in load outs.
- Maintain store inventory records.
- Ensure quality standards are met and repair work is carried out according to acceptable standards.
- Thoroughly test equipment before it is released for operational work.
- Check and test outgoing/incoming equipment according to applicable procedures.
- Report any unforeseen repair work to the base supervisor and discuss corrective action.
Necessary Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Education / Qualification: Qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Applications or past experience in a similar operation (e.g., rig operation or casing and tubing running activity).
Experience: 8-10 years minimum field proven experience in Rig Floor / Tubular Handling and Running Operations with 5 years supervisory level. The physical ability to respond to emergency situations. Should pass the written exams on the Training Manual.

- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.

- Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 pounds.
OFFICE
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping or kneeling.
- Use of repetitive wrist and hand movements at a computer.
- Sit/stand while performing sedentary work.
