As Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire logistics process, including transportation planning, inventory management, and customer order fulfillment. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of goods throughout the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies and plan routes to reduce costs while processing shipments to achieve budget goals efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, production, projects and sales, to align logistics activities with business objectives.
• Analyze and optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to minimize costs and transit times.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and warehousing facilities.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvements.
• Oversee inventory levels across multiple locations to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
• Monitor and optimize distribution channels, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers or downstream facilities.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and international shipping documentation, including hazardous materials transport requirements.
• Develop contingency plans for transportation disruptions and coordinate with carriers on alternate routing solutions when needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of logistics personnel, including dispatchers and transportation coordinators.
• Provide strategic direction for logistics operations.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the logistics team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in logistics and freight forwarding, especially in KSA.
• Strong knowledge and experience of import regulations and practices in KSA.
• Strong knowledge of documents needed to import into KSA for various categories.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
• Strong hands-on team management skill.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within changing environments, including completion of tasks among different complexity levels.
