HSE Officer
Job description
We are looking for an experienced HSE Officer to identify, assess, analyze, and solve issues as a safety professional.
The HSE Officer role demands involvement across all functions to ensure the safety of all.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor compliance with company health, safety, and policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace environment.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine causes and to find ways to prevent them in the future.
- Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and procedures.
- Manage the disposal of hazardous waste in accordance with legal and environmental requirements.
- Review and approve new equipment or chemicals from an HSE perspective before they are introduced to the workplace.
- Liaise with external HSE regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with local, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Knowledge in safety.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Time management.
- Degree in Safety Management or any related field.
