The IT Infrastructure Performance Reporting and Capacity Analyst plays a key role in the IT organization by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on the performance and capacity of the IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal utilization of IT resources, identifying performance bottlenecks, and providing insights and recommendations to support capacity planning and infrastructure optimization efforts. The IT Infrastructure Performance Reporting and Capacity Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams and utilizes performance monitoring and reporting tools to ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of the IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
Monitor IT Infrastructure: Monitor the performance and capacity of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, network, and security devices.
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data from various sources, such as monitoring tools, logs, and performance counters.
Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain performance dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide insights into the health and performance of the IT infrastructure.
Root Cause Analysis: Identify performance bottlenecks, anomalies, and trends by conducting root cause analysis and performance troubleshooting.
Collaboration: Collaborate with infrastructure teams to define and track performance metrics, thresholds, and SLAs for critical IT services.
Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning and forecasting activities to ensure the availability of resources and support future business needs.
Resource Optimization: Identify underutilized or overutilized resources and provide recommendations for optimization and resource allocation adjustments.
Business Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and align performance monitoring and capacity planning activities with organizational goals.
Industry Trends: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to IT infrastructure performance monitoring and capacity management.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Performance Testing) are a plus.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting within an IT infrastructure environment.
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting within an IT infrastructure environment.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networks, and security technologies.
Proficiency in performance monitoring and reporting tools, such as SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios, or similar tools.
Familiarity with capacity management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Experience with data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
