Mechanical Designer - Combustion Equipment and Systems

Your Job
The Mechanical Drafter, part of the global engineering team and reporting to the local management, will be responsible for the preparation of shop packages to allow the fabrication of combustion equipment and working with the various capability teams (engineering, commercial, operations) to provide mechanical drawings and details used in various business activities. You will ensure the accuracy of the drawings and Bill of Materials and work closely with the engineering and production team to ensure the manufactured equipment meets the contract, customer, and company standards requirements for quality and on-time delivery.

For our combustion system division John Zink Hamworthy Combustion, we are looking for a Mechanical Drafter to come join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
What You Will Do

  1. Extraction of the detail drawings and BOM from CAD 3D models or CAD General arrangement drawings
  2. Preparation of shop packages for production (Detail drawings, Bill of Materials, Nesting plans, etc.)
  3. Preparation of Excel BOM or populating BOM in the ERP system.
  4. Handle workshop comments and technical clarifications and interface with the involved party (Engineering, KES Workshop, Vendor workshop, QC) for technical issues until resolution.
  5. Participate in the fabrication package reviews.
  6. Support the local Sales or Execution team with Drafting activities
  7. Work in accordance with the company procedures and standards
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  1. Strong adherence to safety and demonstrated safe work habits.
  2. Good command of the English language, written and spoken.
  3. Experience in preparation of shop packages for production (Detail drawings, Bill of Materials, Nesting plans, etc.) for pressure vessels, steel stacks, and/or piping systems/skids.
  4. Knowledge of fabrication techniques, cutting, forming, machining, and welding.
  5. Good understanding of steel materials international standards.
  6. Experience with oil & gas and/or chemicals/petrochemicals industry standards.
  7. Demonstrable track record of delivering on time, within budget, with quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
  8. Good communication skills, verbal and written.
  9. Well organized and able to work independently.
What Will Put You Ahead
  1. Diploma in Mechanical design drafting
  2. Experience with Autodesk suite (AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant 3D)
  3. Experience with ERP systems
  4. Experience with PLM system
  5. Previous project experience with combustion systems (Burners, Boilers, Flares, Thermal oxidizers)
