Responsibilities
His responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides geospatial technical support and advice on geospatial tools and systems to the Joint and other partners.
- Analyzes geospatial data and products to support military operations and decision-making.
- Collaborates with other geospatial experts to develop and maintain geospatial products and services.
- Implements geospatial policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and accurate delivery of geospatial products.
- Provides training and guidance to geospatial users and teams.
- Participates in the design and development of geospatial tools, applications, and systems.
- Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of geospatial principles, tools, and technologies.
- Provides technical support for geospatial systems and tools.
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree in Geospatial Information or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
- ISO geospatial data standards certification including ISO 19100 and ISO 9001.
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in geospatial analysis and modelling.
- Experience with GIS software and tools.
- Excellent knowledge of geospatial data standards and policies (i.e. NSG, ISO, IHO, DGWIG, NATO (STANAG), OGC, W3C, SDO).
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.
Experience required:
- 15+ years of experience in geospatial management, particularly in joint staff roles.
- 5+ years of experience as a technical support leader in a defense organization.
