Joint Staff Geospatial Support Expert

Responsibilities
His responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Provides geospatial technical support and advice on geospatial tools and systems to the Joint and other partners.
2. Analyzes geospatial data and products to support military operations and decision-making.
3. Collaborates with other geospatial experts to develop and maintain geospatial products and services.
4. Implements geospatial policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and accurate delivery of geospatial products.
5. Provides training and guidance to geospatial users and teams.
6. Participates in the design and development of geospatial tools, applications, and systems.
7. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of geospatial principles, tools, and technologies.
8. Provides technical support for geospatial systems and tools.

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in Geospatial Information or related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
• ISO geospatial data standards certification including ISO 19100 and ISO 9001.

Skills:

• Strong technical skills in geospatial analysis and modelling.
• Experience with GIS software and tools.
• Excellent knowledge of geospatial data standards and policies (i.e. NSG, ISO, IHO, DGWIG, NATO (STANAG), OGC, W3C, SDO).
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers.

Experience required:

• 15+ years of experience in geospatial management, particularly in joint staff roles.
• 5+ years of experience as a technical support leader in a defense organization.
