Estimation Engineer - Mechanical

Wanted Estimation Engineer - Mechanical - Immediate Joining candidates are highly preferable

Responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with mechanical engineering projects, ensuring competitive and comprehensive proposals for clients. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to analyze project requirements, evaluate costs, and contribute to the successful bidding process.

An experienced Estimation Engineer having worked in a company with an environment of handling different projects as per Saudi Aramco or similar client's procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Study tender documents including drawings, project specifications, BOQ, scope of work, contract details, and conditions.
2. Prepare tender study reports by analyzing the scope of work.
3. Study tender BOQ, quantities take off, and send inquiries to subcontractors/vendors to get competitive quotations.
4. Implement tender strategy as communicated by proposals/estimation manager.
5. Liaise with construction/operations team to establish execution/method statements and reflect the same in estimation.
6. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to refine project scopes and deliverables.
7. Establish direct cost resources required to execute various activities.
8. Prepare man-hour calculations for various activities.
9. Prepare technical clarifications to clients for discrepancies in tender documents after reviewing and incorporate changes after response.
10. Participate in pre-tender meetings, site visits, and prepare site visit reports to analyze the project scope of work.
11. Analyze vendor technical offers and commercial aspects in view of project specifications and standards.
12. Prepare comparative statements to analyze and select the most appropriate vendors and subcontractors.
13. Prepare vendors' cost comparative study reports for financial selection of vendors/subcontractors & price.
14. Prepare required bid documents, including commercial and technical submittals.
15. Collect all vendors' technical data sheets, specifications, drawings, and compile in line with tender documents to prepare technical bid submission.
16. Coordinate post-tender technical clarifications and commercial aspects.
17. Assist management in post-tender commercial negotiations with clients and vendors to reach competitive pricing.
18. Ensure the organization has a robust cost estimating process in place to meet production/project requirements and in line with quality standards.
19. Support continuous improvement through cost engineering techniques and processes, identifying inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
20. Analyze and identify key areas of improvement and apply cost estimation techniques to drive cost reductions and aid operational processes and efficiency.
21. Monitor and review data and information to detect and assess problems and make recommendations to resolve issues.
22. Review, analyze, and understand economic trends and consider risks and cost implications.
23. Preparation of technical proposals as per client’s requirements.
