Cloud Architect (GCP) Job Description

Description:

1. Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures on GCP.
2. Lead the development and deployment of cloud solutions tailored to organizational needs and ensure alignment with business goals.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategies, best practices, and roadmaps.
4. Optimize and manage cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and reliability.
5. Develop and enforce cloud security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
6. Integrate GCP cloud solutions with on-premises systems and third-party services.
7. Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
8. Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting for GCP infrastructure and applications.
9. Stay updated with advancements in GCP and cloud technologies, providing recommendations to adopt innovative solutions.
10. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and governance frameworks.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and managing cloud solutions, with a strong focus on GCP.
4. In-depth understanding of cloud architecture principles, networking, virtualization, and containerization.
5. Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager.
6. Proven experience in cloud security, including identity and access management, network security, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
9. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD integration in cloud environments.
