Librarian

Librarian - Jizan, Saudi Arabia

We are a reputable educational institution located in Jizan, Saudi Arabia seeking an experienced Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library resources and providing support to students and faculty.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage library resources, including books, journals, and electronic databases
2. Catalogue and organize materials using the Dewey Decimal Classification system
3. Assist students and faculty with research needs and provide guidance on using library resources effectively
4. Maintain the library's physical space, ensuring it is clean and organized
5. Develop and implement library policies and procedures
6. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum
7. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in library science

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a librarian in an academic setting
3. Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification system
4. Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse groups of people
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
6. Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly
7. Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not required
