Mechanical Technician

COMPANY: John Cockerill Defense is delivering MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) services to Armed forces and the Defense Industry.

For his Maintenance Department, John Cockerill Defense is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician.

Employ your creativity while developing detailed root cause analysis and problem solving, including creating drafts to share with clients and the team. Enhance your technical skills while working closely with management and the rest of the team on multiple projects.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Perform Maintenance activities under the supervision of a Maintenance Engineer.
2. Report Maintenance activities.
3. Report Maintenance issues to your Team Leader.
4. Maintain maintenance equipment according to company standards.
5. Propose improvements related to your job.
6. Communicate with your team leader to detail the requirements of the work orders, as well as plan and prepare for the necessary steps to complete the work order.
7. Coordinate with staff members in the team as needed so that they remain aware of their expected duties and run smoothly.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Specialization within Mechanic or electronic maintenance.
3. 1-5 years of experience in an engineering environment.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills.
5. Good follower and conductor of mechanical operational procedures.
6. Fluent in reading engineering drawings.
7. Experience working with trucks or other heavy-duty vehicles/equipment.
