IT Specialist
Job description
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and networking problems.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and servers.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices and systems.
- Implement and maintain IT security measures.
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IT systems and applications.
- Provide technical support for Laboratory-related software and systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, including user manuals and operational procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and provide recommendations for improvements in IT processes and systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Handle offline and online sharing folders internally, offline local area network, and Microsoft knowledge.
- Handle installation/printer sharing online and VPN configuration for connecting one branch to another with same IP racks setup.
- Install cable/crimping, cable tracking and tracing, user remote access/CCTV installation.
- Manage NVR configuration, IP telephone configuration, and setup biometric configuration and support.
- Manage requests through services desk plus system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in IT support.
- Certified CCNA.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to travel.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
