We are seeking an experienced Business Continuity Consultant with over 7 years of expertise in designing, implementing, and managing business continuity (BC) and disaster recovery (DR) programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with organizations to ensure the resilience of critical operations and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans
Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical functions, dependencies, and recovery time objectives (RTO)
Design risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and ensure rapid recovery in the event of an incident
Facilitate and lead regular BC and DR testing exercises, including scenario-based simulations and tabletop exercises
Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate BC practices into overall business strategies
Ensure compliance with relevant standards and frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST, and ITIL
Provide training and awareness programs to employees on BC and DR processes
Monitor, assess, and report on the effectiveness of BC programs, recommending improvements as necessary
Stay updated on emerging threats, trends, and technologies in business continuity and resilience
Ability to develop and draft business continuity policies, procedures, frameworks, and methodologies
Prepare detailed reports for senior management, outlining findings, risks, and recommendations
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with various Business continuity standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, Risk Management, or a related field
7+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a consulting capacity
Strong understanding of BC and DR standards, methodologies, and best practices
Experience conducting BIAs, risk assessments, and continuity planning
Relevant certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor are highly preferred
Proficiency in BC and DR software tools and technologies
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with government agencies or large enterprises
Knowledge of cloud-based disaster recovery solutions
Familiarity with cybersecurity and IT resilience in BC planning
Expertise in crisis management and emergency response coordination
