Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
Lead the daily operations of Finance department.
Direct and coordinate hotel financial planning, budget, monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
Ensure monthly and annual financial performance are presented timely and fairly reflect the transactions and administration of the hotel operation.
Perform review on Balance Sheet and P&L accounts reconciliation.
Devise and maintain a system of internal control to ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and ensure assets safeguard.
Oversee the overall cost control functions.
Regularly organize credit meetings with the participation of the General Manager and all concerned Heads of Department where all debtors balances are analyzed.
Serve as primary legislative liaison relative to company financial issues.
Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Conduct regular checks on procedures for payment, purchasing, receiving, storing, issuing, and costing.
Administrative Responsibilities
Ensure the hotel holds all required licenses and permits to operate and comply.
Oversee compliance with tax legislation (payment, filing, solution of tax matters).
Ensure the hotel's IT system's stability and financial system operation issues.
Ensure adequate insurance policies as stipulated in the Hotel Management Agreement.
Oversee and ensure efficient and effective Purchasing functions, all procurements addressed in accordance with the hotel policies and procedures.
Review Contracts for pricing and terms, ensuring the hotel's interest is secured.
Assist other operational departments in the definition, implementation, and follow-up of improved internal control tools.
Maintain close communication with third parties such as the owners, banks, vendors, auditors, authorities, and the Accor office.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting leadership, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree a plus.
Demonstrated experience with accounting system or similar financial software for the purpose of financial reporting, analysis, and presentation.
