Responsibilities:


  • Support the Client IT contractor team with Program delivery office (PDO) business requirements to ensure the IT Contractor designs technical solutions that can be used by the PDO staff on the programs.
  • Represent the interest of the Atkins Program Delivery office when business requirements are recorded by the client IT contractor during workshops and solutions are demonstrated by IT contractors to ensure a smooth adoption of PDO when onboarding client systems.
  • Render project management guidance and support to the client in delivering their digital systems.
  • Provide managerial oversight and lead digital analysts within the PDO digital team.
  • Support on tasks that are relevant to the successful operations of Atkins Program Delivery Office, writing work instructions for using client systems on the program, ensuring adoption of client systems by Atkins program delivery office staff, ensuring client training and licenses are available for a successful operation of Client systems on the PDO program.
  • Support Clients in managing delivery of their IT projects to quality, time and budget requirements, as directed by Client counterparts, and ensure reporting on project progress.
  • Ensure that the IT contractor documents the agreed business requirements from the PDO and creates IT solutions that support practical operations for the PDO staff.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with Atkins Preferred Vendors or new vendors, Atkins colleagues and Client counterparts to solve commercial and business problems.

Essential Requirements:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, General Science, IT, Computer Science, or Mathematics is preferred, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Managerial experience in handling digital projects and mentoring Digital Analysts to become proficient consultants is required.
  • The ability to collaborate with the client to establish a delivery process for managing and achieving client IT outcomes, as well as troubleshooting business situations, is essential.
  • Experience working in the Middle East with an agile team is preferred.
  • The capability to assist clients in making informed decisions regarding IT solutions and providing project management support for client implementation projects delivered by Client IT contractors is necessary.
  • Proficiency in client handling, vendor management, and leading digital teams is required.
  • The ability to develop and mentor upcoming digital consultants is important.
  • Demonstrated leadership in delivering IT projects and ensuring that the delivery meets quality, time, and budget requirements to ensure mutual success for the Client and Atkins Program delivery office is crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively describing business problems to colleagues and clients are essential.

Desirable Requirements:


  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to support IT Projects teams get past a business problem.
  • Ability to communicate with C level executives on the client side and report on situations.
  • Ability to convince program leadership and the client on the right course of action on implementation programs.
  • Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and willingness to embrace new skills.
  • Any experience developing solutions using an enterprise level software is a bonus using Microsoft SharePoint; Microsoft PowerBi to create a reporting solution.
  • Be able to contribute to other elements of the project lifecycle: i.e. software release, support and maintenance and documentation.
  • Must be proficient with the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Be Adaptable, pragmatic and flexible.
