WSP Middle East are currently looking for a Design Manager (Creative/Theming/Attractions) for a Theme Park PMC programme in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
Your new role, what's involved:
- Overseeing the design process using technical expertise and management skills
- Driving efficiency and rigour in technical delivery by providing cross-programme co-ordination and technical leadership
- Responsible for driving excellence in health and safety, ensuring that risks are minimised in the design process
- Ensuring technical resources are managed effectively
- Ensuring design teams adopt and make effective use of standards and practices
- Ensuring required quality checking/approval procedures are carried out
- Applying and reinforcing standard designs and products across work programmes and rigorously challenging the teams to drive efficiency in our design programmes
- Preparing Scope of Works documents for each design stage, as part of RFPs and/or contract documentation for external consultants
- Supporting Client with input to production of brief documents as required
- Contributing to design team progress/quality reporting
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and membership of relevant professional body, such as RIBA or AIA
- 10 years of professional experience in project design, planning and implementation, preferably in KSA or GCC region
- Design management experience on creative, theming and attraction elements on a Theme Park project in a PMC capacity
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to delegate and coordinate responsibilities
- Strong conflict resolution/management skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong team player with ability to balance conflicting priorities and take timely decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
