We are seeking a Design Manager Aviation to lead and oversee the design of a high-profile aviation project in Riyadh. The successful candidate will ensure design excellence, project efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction while maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Position Purpose
The Design Manager Aviation will lead and oversee the design of a high-profile aviation project in Riyadh, ensuring design excellence, project efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction while maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design process for aviation infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with ICAO, FAA, and GACAR (preferred) standards.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams, overseeing project deliverables from concept to detailed design.
Ensure technical excellence in airside, landside, and terminal infrastructure design.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring alignment with project goals.
Implement and maintain certified management systems, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to design teams.
Support project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Experience:
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in aviation infrastructure design and project management.
Proven track record of managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary aviation projects.
Experience in an engineering consulting environment with a strong understanding of airport project delivery processes.
Skills/Knowledge:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Advanced knowledge of airport planning, airfield design, and aviation regulations.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AviPlan, and other relevant aviation design software.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master's degree in Airport Planning, Engineering, or Project Management (preferred).
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) status is required.
