Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent professional qualification.
5-8 years experience in design of piping and pipeline systems.
Conversant with International Design Codes of Practice, including American, British Standards, and Saudi Aramco standards.
Hands-on experience in piping and pipeline design for oil and gas, refinery facilities, and skids.
Develop piping and pipeline design deliverables, piping/pipeline sizing calculation, wall thickness calculation, hydrotest, piping material specification development, and conduct stress analysis using CAESAR II software or other similar software.
Conversant with design software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Cad Worx, SP3D, and Navisworks.
Ability to perform hydraulic analysis and prepare reports using commercially available software such as SPS and other similar software.
Familiar with non-metallic piping system design.
Review Design Calculation reports for Pressure Vessels, Tank, Structural design report (Staad) and implement in the design, as applicable.
Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Saudi Aramco Projects experience (preferable).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for design, coordination, and execution of all piping and pipeline engineering activities.
Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, project manager, and other discipline engineers.
Prepare, review, and approve all piping/pipeline material submittals, pipe support, and shop/fabrication drawings.
Prepare, review, and check job specifications and data sheets in accordance with project standard requirements and contractual requirements for purchase of piping materials and equipment.
Design facilities as per project specification, contract scope, applicable codes, and standards.
Prepare material takeoff to support project estimation.
Develop design and review drawings, documents, and study reports.
Review design deliverables and participate in design review meetings with clients.
Technical bid evaluation and recommend technically compliant offers for PO procurement.
Vendor document review and implement vendor data in design package.
Perform discipline check on the deliverables developed to ensure quality.
Coordinate with design team to carry out design activities.
Coordinate with site team, provide technical support and clarification to resolve queries during construction.
Technical evaluation of design packages, verify and develop Bill of Quantities.
