Job Description

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation while supporting the Chef de Partie in daily operations.

  1. Assist the Chef de Partie in organizing and managing the assigned kitchen section
  2. Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  3. Ensure proper mise-en-place for your station and maintain cleanliness throughout your shift
  4. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely food service
  5. Monitor and maintain proper food storage, handling, and safety practices
  6. Contribute to menu development and suggest new dishes or improvements
  7. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
  8. Participate in inventory management and food cost control
  9. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  10. Assist in other kitchen sections as needed during peak hours or staff shortages

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen setting
  2. Culinary education or relevant certifications in the culinary arts
  3. Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative mindset
  6. In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation standards
  7. Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
  8. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  9. Creative approach to food preparation and presentation
  10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  11. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  12. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when required
  13. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools
  14. Adaptability to work in diverse cultural environments
