Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineering Specialist to join our Operation Engineering Solutions Department under Global Manufacturing Excellence. Operations Engineering Solutions Department is responsible for providing solutions pertaining to operation management, energy management, decarbonization management, and HC product quality and losses management to Saudi Aramco Global Manufacturing wholly owned assets and affiliates. Your primary role is to evaluate environmental performance of the Global Manufacturing facilities, identify deviations and develop solutions to environmental issues. The candidate should be familiar with ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and have substantial experience in environmental regulations and standards. Also, candidate should have work experiences with overall refinery environmental performance calculation, daily monitoring and reporting. You will perform waste minimization assessments and advise on the handling, treatment, and disposal of solid, liquid, hazardous and toxic wastes. You will work on establishing environmental business plans objectives, emission baseline and setting targets of key performance indicators such as flaring, SO2 emission and Hydrocarbon discharge to marine. Additionally, candidate is preferred have adequate knowledge and experience in Green House Gas (GHG) management, strong data collection and data analytic experience to observe the GHG reduction opportunities and advise to improve the performance. You will require strong management and coordination skills to lead and work with environmental teams in operating facilities under the Global Manufacturing Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

You are expected to be able to perform the following:

1. Monitor facility operating and business plans objectives are consistent and in-line with environmental protection policy and all applicable environmental policies, GIs and standards.
2. Identify deviations and developing solutions to environmental problems to ensure mitigation of facilities environmental risk and improve compliance to company and governmental environmental regulations.
3. Conduct full potential environmental assessment and provide recommendations.
4. Develop, review and implement Green House Gas management program including GHG data collection, analysis and reporting.
5. Conduct internal GHG assurance audit and provide support in preparation of facilities GHG 3rd party audits.
6. Monitor the solids and chemical disposals to guarantee a safe environmental protection in compliance with governmental regulations.
7. Monitor air quality, waste water and water conservation, waste management performance.
8. Establish environmental KPIs targets in alignment with company environmental policies and strategies.
9. Develop, review and deployment of facilities environmental management system in alignment with ISO 14001.
10. Develop and maintain Environmental procedures and guidelines.
11. Conduct internal environmental performance benchmarking studies among the oil and gas, refineries.
12. Lead and support the development of solutions focused on emissions monitoring, tracking, and reduction.
13. Stay abreast of international and regional regulations concerning emissions, waste management, water and waste water, GHG to ensure alignment with compliance standards.
14. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including field engineers, top-level executives, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment with industry needs.
15. Analyze complex data sets related to emissions, equipment efficiency, and other relevant parameters, deriving actionable insights for enhancement.
16. Oversee the program lifecycle, from ideation to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement.
17. Organize technical exchange workshops among the oil and gas refineries.
18. Develop and deliver training material to promote environmental awareness among refinery personnel.

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering from a recognized and approved program.

You will have a minimum of seventeen years of experience the Oil & Gas Industry, refining & petrochemical sector.

1. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the oil & gas, refining industry and its environmental challenges and risks.
2. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of global / governmental environmental policies, regulations and standards.
3. EPI/QEP certification is preferred.
4. You must have experience in technical sustainability data, calculation methodology and limitations.
5. You will also have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of environmental engineering.
6. You be able to demonstrate familiarity with ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and Requirement.
7. You will be able to demonstrate familiarity with development of decarbonization roadmap, GHG emission baseline and target setting.
8. You will have excellent computer skills as well as presentation skills.
9. You will be able to demonstrate strong management and coordination skill.
10. You must have good command of English, both verbal and written.
11. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure.
