Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our database systems according to required specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and availability of our databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Management: Administer and maintain databases such as Oracle and SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and management.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement advanced backup and recovery strategies using Oracle RMAN and SQL Server Backup tools to ensure data protection and disaster recovery.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance-related issues, including slow queries and ineffective indexes, to enhance system responsiveness.
• Operating System Proficiency: Knowledge of Windows Server and basic Linux operating system management skills.
• Problem Solving: Analyze and effectively resolve database-related issues quickly and efficiently.
• Resource Management: Allocate resources like memory and CPU to meet performance needs and ensure service continuity.
• High Availability Techniques: Preferred knowledge of high availability technologies such as Always On Availability Groups, Oracle RAC, and Failover Cluster Groups to ensure continuous service.
• Database Management Tools: Ability to work with various database management tools while keeping up-to-date with the latest security and data management best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Oracle and SQL Server database management.
• Proficiency in creating and optimizing queries.
• Proven experience managing Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux environments. practices.
