What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Debezium, and Confluent to synchronize MySQL and PostgreSQL data to our warehouse.
• Manage batch and streaming data ingestion workflows using Airbyte, custom Python scripts, and other tools.
• Build and optimize scalable data models in data warehouses using dbt, ensuring they’re ready for analysis and tailored to business needs.
• Analyze feature performance, adoption rates, and engagement metrics by querying data warehouses or using tools like Mixpanel to provide actionable insights.
• Write efficient SQL queries for ad hoc data analysis and reporting to support business decisions.
• Build and maintain dashboards in Metabase for key metrics and insights.
• Enable data activation workflows with tools like Hightouch, sending alerts and integrating data with Slack and Notion.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that drive decision-making.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience with Kafka, Debezium, and Confluent for building real-time data pipelines.
• Hands-on expertise with tools like Airbyte, RabbitMQ, and Python for data ingestion and transformation.
• Advanced SQL skills, capable of querying large datasets and deriving actionable insights.
• Experience with data warehouses (e.g., ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and dbt for robust data modeling.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Metabase for dashboard creation.
• Experience with event tracking and analytics platforms, such as Mixpanel or Amplitude.
• Experience with Hightouch or similar tools for reverse ETL workflows.
• Basic understanding of Airflow or similar tools for task scheduling.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on ensuring data quality and pipeline reliability.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Familiarity with Azure and Pulumi is a plus.
