Job description

ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Saudi Aramco. Inheriting DHLs logistics excellence and Saudi Aramcos extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

Objective:

The role holder is responsible for the security and availability of data and management of Technology systems and servers which collect, manage and provide access to ASMO data The role holder actively establishes and maintains appropriate data access controls, ensuring compliance with system controls and information security requirements as part of ongoing operations.

General Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the maintenance of data dictionaries, data classification, and data lifecycle management practices.
  • Maintain the physical security and system security including physical security of servers and data user security
  • Support data stewardship activities, including data standardization, metadata management, and data quality improvement initiatives.
  • Utilise identity and access management (IAM) systems to verify user identity and control data access.
  • Make sure data is consistent with the common data models
  • Perform data validation and auditing using standard technical processes resolving data quality issues.
  • Identify the most suitable data storage system ensuring that versions of the data with a history of changes are stored alongside the latest version.
  • Employ the necessary technologies and processes to safeguard data, both physically and digitally.
  • Stay updated on KSA data protection laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for business intelligence and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with business users to understand their data requirements and provide data insights as needed.
  • Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Implement all relevant Departments policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
  • Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • 5 years experience in the same Field.
  • Experience in Information Technology / Data Solutions / Networking / Cybersecurity preferred.
