ROLE OVERVIEW
The Data Analytics Lead is responsible for developing and implementing data-driven strategies to support business decision-making, optimize business processes, and provide actionable insights across Oxagon. The Lead will leverage data analytics to enhance the Manufacturing Sector’s operations and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s vision and objectives.

ROLE COMPETENCIES & ACTIVITIES
The Data Analytics Lead’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Functional Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy to support the Group Strategy & Business Development function and other key teams within Oxagon.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of complex data sets to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making and drive business performance.
- Implement advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis, to optimize business processes and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with various departments within NEOM to align data analytics initiatives with organizational goals and objectives, ensuring a unified approach to data-driven decision-making.
People Management
- Help identify, recruit and develop resources to drive the mandate of the Group Strategy & Business Development function.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NEOM departments, potential investors, and government entities, to support data analytics efforts.
- Represent NEOM’s data analytics interests in strategic discussions, negotiations, and external engagements.
- Coordinate stakeholder involvement in projects, ensuring their feedback is integrated into planning and decision-making processes.
- Track and monitor stakeholder engagement activities and their impact on project outcomes.
Project Management
- Support key data analytics projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with NEOM’s strategic objectives and successful delivery on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement analytics-driven initiatives to support the growth and expansion of the Manufacturing Sector.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of data analytics strategies and projects.
Core Mandate
- Utilize data analytics to provide robust insights and support decision-making processes within the Manufacturing Sector and other key areas within Oxagon.
- Lead the development of data models, dashboards, and reports to support strategic initiatives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Create & implement various PowerBI dashboards to visualize important data points, e.g., utility requirements, job creation, worker compensation levels, GDP contribution, incentive spending, etc.
- Create reports/dashboards based on data collected in the team’s Deal Management Platform (Salesforce).
- Create dashboards visualizing the industrial and innovation land status, as well as infrastructure readiness.
- Ensure the effective use of data analytics to enhance investment attraction and retention strategies, optimizing business development efforts.
- Continuously run market intelligence activities to develop and improve the quality of the team’s data points.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a similar role.
- Experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, preferably within a large organization or consultancy.
- Strong understanding of advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
- Proven experience with data governance, data management, and data integration practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional project management skills, with experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as Python, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- An expert in PowerBI.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
