Data Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data to provide actionable insights that enhance sales performance and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience with data visualization tools, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extract and organize sales and distribution data from various sources (e.g., ERP systems, POS, CRM).
• Structure large data sets to facilitate efficient analysis and reporting.
• Identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and missing values in data sets.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used for decision-making.
• Apply statistical techniques and analytical models to analyze sales patterns and performance.
• Identify business opportunities and market trends through data analysis.
• Create interactive and dynamic reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel for sales performance tracking and business insights.
• Present data insights to management and sales teams to drive strategic decisions.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve sales strategies and distribution efficiency.
• Support management in strategic planning by providing meaningful insights.
• Work closely with the marketing, finance, and operations teams to understand their data needs.
• Deliver analytical solutions to improve cross-functional performance.
• Monitor sales and distribution performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and marketing campaigns.
• Develop SQL queries and scripts to automate data extraction and analysis processes.
• Enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency through automation.
• Communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
• Develop executive-level reports and presentations summarizing key findings.
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in sales and distribution processes.
• Recommend and implement improvements based on data insights.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG or retail industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
• Strong experience in SQL and other data manipulation tools.
• Solid understanding of sales and distribution data structures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data into business insights.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
